TAG has developed a unique one piece Superplastic Formed (SPF) titanium potable water tank for Boeing and Gulfstream business jets. The titanium is heated until plastic and blown into a female 2 piece monolithic carbon tool. The tanks are designed such that the integral stiffeners change profile the further they are from the tank centroid to avoid binding in the tool on cooling.
